Dorota Zarzycka

She was encouraged to dance by her parents. She started dancing when she was three years old at ballroom dance lessons, but her true love began four years later, when she saw “Swan Lake” for the first time. For many years she was into Show Dance, which combined classics, modern, jazz and acrobatics. Taking part in many contests, she won many prizes (i. a. Polish Championship, and bronze medal at World Championship). During workshops, she trained contemporary dance, hip-hop, modal, dancehall, Irish and Scottish dance, and participated in actors and circus workshops. Her aim is to develop not only as a dancer, but as a teacher and choreographer too.

But her love for ballet has not changed. The skills development and getting knowledge about ballet was her priority for several years of trainings, and for a few years now she has been teaching children ballet trying to draw them to it. Dance should develop the ambition, while giving joy to young dancers, and this is very important to her.

She graduated from High School of Fine Arts with specialization in visual advertising, studied in the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź at the Visual Arts department with specialization in theatre, film and television techniques. The experience gained in visual arts schools helped her to combine her both passions: she got interested in costume design and stage make-up, and her dance experiences enriched the animation based mainly on understanding the motion. She works with children during workshops; apart from dance classes, she conducted art and film workshops in the Museum of Animation Se-Ma-For in Łódź and National Museum in Warszawa.
