Karolina Skarżyńska

Kraków Dance Academy „L' Art De la Danse”, and the Ballet Studio of Kraków Opera graduate. Art Dance Company dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. In 2006 she finished her Course for Instructors in contemporary dance with top grades. That year she also defended her M.A. thesis at AGH University of Science and Technology, and obtained Master of Science Engineer degree in Environmental Protection. Since early years she took part in ballet spectacles in Kraków Opera and Operetta such as “The Nutcracker”, and “Tajemnice baletowe”. In 2001 she started her education in Kraków Dance Academy gaining artistic experience. She worked as a dancer in “Dance Revolution” group, “Styl” Dance Studio and in Kraków Dance Academy’s ballet events. She performed on stages of Ludowy Theatre, and Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Kraków. She took part in many festivals, contests and spectacles in Poland and abroad: 12th Kraków Ballet Meetings, “Przez tę ziemię przeszedł Pan”, Misteria Paschalia Festival, “Obudź się – Minnesota blues” directed by J. Fedorowicz and won two first prizes with her group in “Music World” contest in Fivizzano in modern and freestyle dance categories, and the distinction in ballet category. In 2010, she worked with Monika Myśliwiec in Ludowy Theatre, on “Pyza na polskich dróżkach” (choreography directed by J. Fedorowicz), and in 2011, her choreography “Eternal” qualified to Dance World Cup finals in Paris. Since 2008 she works as a ballet and modern jazz teacher with children and adults in schools of Kraków. As the Art Dance Company dancer, she takes part in cyclical event called Kraków Theatre Night, dancing in Małgorzata Dorosiewicz-Witczak’s spectacles such as: “Balance” (2010) and “My life, my love and...” (2011). She regularly performs on stages of Ludowy Theatre and Pod Ratuszem Theatre and in “Pyza za wielką wodą” spectacle. She continually participates in workshops organized by famous dancers, choreographers and dance teachers.
